Dissolve the yeast in warm milk, add sugar and a little flour, leave to rise for 10 minutes. Then add salt, oil, egg whites, flour and knead until you get a bread-like dough that does not stick to your hands. Cover the dough and leave it to rise in a warm place until it doubles in volume.

Peel an onion, cut into small cubes and cook with a little oil. I also used green onions because I had a lot and I had to eat it so it wouldn't spoil. But with dried onions it is much better (in my opinion). When the onion becomes glassy, add the broth and cook for another 3 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the spices, finely chopped dill, and crushed cheese.

From the leavened dough we make balls (I made them the size of a chicken egg) which we spread on the work table in a circle. Put the filling in half and close them in a crescent shape, pressing lightly on the edges to stick.

Grease the stove pan with oil, and drip a few drops of oil (in addition) in the middle of the pan. Roll the rolls in oil from the tray on both sides (so that they do not stick together when baking) and place them next to each other. I left it for 10 min. to grow, grease them with egg yolk and put them in the hot oven (on medium heat or 180 degrees C). We take them out of the oven after they have browned. We can sprinkle them on top with a little water in case they made a crust, I put another large tray on top of the tray and soften the steam rolls.

Eggs painted with onion peels

If you want some naturally painted eggs that look very beautiful, I recommend eggs painted with onion peels decorated with various leaves from the garden. I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about, especially since when I was a child I used to paint them like that every time. Just because we wanted diversity, we also made a few colorful ones, but we always liked the ones with leaves.

In order to have enough onion peels, you should start picking them from the beginning of the year, my parents do :). It's true that it also depends on how much onion you eat :))

I say what is the healthiest way to paint eggs and they are also very beautiful

We need the following:

(I'll tell you how we did it, but depending on the number of painted eggs and how intensely you like the color you can juggle the quantities)

  • two vessels of 4 l each
  • red onion peels (about a quarter of the bowl should be covered with onion peels)
  • yellow onion peels (same as above)
  • for each bowl a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of vinegar
  • a foot-colored sock (thin sock and not black)
  • a small piece of bacon
  • you can easily paint about 30 eggs in each bowl or even more and if you paint fewer eggs you will get even fewer shells and you can make in a smaller bowl
  • the more leaves there are, the more intense the color
  • from the peels of yellow onions come out redder eggs and from those in red peel browner

So put the onion peels in the bowl (separately for each type of peel) and add water until the peels are well covered, a little above the middle of the bowl. Add a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of vinegar and put the pot on the fire.

Meanwhile, we are preparing eggs. We wash them in hot water and wipe them one by one.

We take an egg and put a leaf on it, then we put the egg in the sock, we gather it and we spin it at the end and we tie it with string.

We put 15 eggs at a time in each bowl (15 in the bowl with yellow shells and 15 in the other) and from the moment the water starts to boil we let them boil for another 10 minutes.

Remove the eggs with a spoon in a row and put them on a towel. Cut the end of the sock and quickly remove how hot the leaf and sock are.

I thought I hated fat meat until I tried pork belly tacos

In the childhood of the '80s, I grew up with parents who supported the fat-free diet, it is better than low-fat. Our dinner often had lean meat with canned vegetables and some kind of starch. It is a model that I undoubtedly followed when I started my own family. I never tried fatty meat, I made a pretty stupid assumption that the pale, greasy fat of the meat looked raw. Therefore, for me, it tasted raw and had to be removed before cooking.

My husband, who grew up in a traditional Mexican household, went from eating crispy, tender carnitas and slow-arm chuck cakes, to the barren landscape of breakfast with lean turkey bacon, and dry dinner with chicken breast. . He was a saint.

If I hadn't stepped inside a taco joint in San Juan Capistrano, California, I would never have discovered what I had lost, literally cutting the fat out of my diet.

The smoky, salty smell clung to me first - those rich, fragrant atoms floating in the air and in my nose. The cook mixed a tub of meat in oil over low heat with a huge wooden spatula. "What's that?" my husband shouted over the counter, pointing to the shiny flesh. "Chales," the cook shouted back. Literal translation: "pig shawl". But I found out later, while eating it enthusiastically in tacos, "chales" is a slang term for pork belly, one of the fattest meats.

Topped with chopped raw onions, leafy coriander and a splash of red salsa, the pork belly - which was like a cross between a fried, fried chicharron and thickly sliced bacon - melted in my mouth. The squeaky exterior gave way to the oily, lardy bottom, lasting only a second before the delicate, fried flavors of the meat took over. It was all I thought I hated and it wasdivine.

Seeing my husband's joy and, more importantly, recognizing mine, I decided to try to make pork belly tacos at home. I combed dozens of recipes and followed along with various YouTube tutorials, eventually combining my favorite techniques from a few into a delicious pork belly taco recipe that has become a staple for my family. The best part? It's so easy to do.

The trick to getting the perfect pork belly is to cook it over high heat first. Then cook over low heat and very slowly. This allows the fat to be clear, simultaneously rendering and bathing the meat in its rich and delicious juices. A little salt and pepper is all that should brighten the pork belly because of the fatIt isthe aroma, melting into the flesh and making it tender.

If you think you don't like meat fat, if you think it's chewy, gummy and raw, I promise you just haven't cooked it right before. And there is no better way to experience the joy and pleasure of properly cooked fatty meat than this. These pork belly tacos will not only wake you up to what you missed - they are also a culinary gateway to becoming a fat meat lover, just like me.

Onion tea

Onion tea is not exactly a tea, it is actually an onion stew, but, because all the drinks that the Romanian drinks when it is cold are called either & # 8222 tea & # 8221 or & # 8222syrup & # 8221, it will- I continue to tell him the name chosen by his predecessors. I don't want to confuse this post with & # 8222doctor's advice & # 8221 because it's not. It's not even a recommendation, the recommendation is to look for a doctor when you have a cold / illness. The post is about how you can turn onion tea (if you get to it, as my family sometimes does) into a less unpleasant experience. I remember one of my childhood colds, a cold in which the cough did not come off me, a very excruciating cold. My mother got rid of the cough with onion tea. Then he did it in other years, and for my brothers. So did the grandmothers or mothers of other children I knew. I've been doing it for a few days now, with results, for my wife who can't take medication. So, we have onions, how do we proceed?

The onion stew is good, if you put some more things next to it and turn it into soup. You can't do that in this case, although if I think about it now, an onion soup might have the qualities that tea has. Finally, I do not insist. Here is the tea:

Wash 2-3 onions well and peel them (you can keep the first shirt near the core). Cut them in half and boil them in a liter of water. Keep on low heat until it drops to half.

Turn off the heat, squeeze half a lemon in the pot, you can even put a slice of lemon there. Add a few mint leaves. After the tea cools down a bit, sweeten it with honey. That's about all you have to do to mask the taste of boiled onions, which are not to everyone's liking (very rarely to the liking of children and most of the adults I know, crooked nose).

Four cups a day, get rid of cough in 2-3 days. If you have severe seizures, onion tea will calm them down quickly and you will be able to catch your breath. To be healthy.

Eggs painted with onion peels

Ingredients for 20 eggs

  • peels of 6 yellow onions
  • peels of 6 red onions
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • oil

How to paint eggs with onion peels

If you want the eggs to get as beautiful and uniform a color as possible, use white eggs as much as possible.

Take them out of the fridge in time and leave them at room temperature. Cold eggs will crack more easily when boiled by contact with boiling water.

Wash them lightly with dishwashing liquid and a sponge. Rinse them well with water.

Peel the onions. If you only have yellow onions, it's nothing. You will get maroon or brown eggs. Ideally, use only red onions.

After collecting the onion leaves, place the eggs in a large saucepan. Add the paprika, vinegar, salt and onion peels. Pour enough water to cover the eggs. Some say that vinegar prevents the distribution of color evenly on eggs. You can give up vinegar if you want. Use only salt.

Eggs painted with onion peels

Put the pan on the fire. Boil for 8-10 minutes, then turn off the heat. Put the lid on and let the eggs infuse in the colored water for 30 minutes. Preferably overnight, for a more intense color.

Remove them with a spatula and place them on a plate. After they have cooled and dried well, grease them with a brush soaked in oil. The oil will give them a nice shine.

How do we prepare the red onion cream soup recipe?

Cut the onion into cubes and sauté with butter and oil.

Cook until it becomes glassy, then add the glass of wine and boil until the wine evaporates, then add the diced potatoes, water (about 2 fingers over the onion and potato), garlic and a pinch of salt.

Boil all this until the potato is soft, well penetrated.

Then mix everything with a blender, add pepper and salt (if needed) and sour cream.

How do we serve this delicious soup?

Red onion cream soup is served hot, with croutons or toast. Croutons can be made very easily at home, especially if we have too much bread and do not know what to do with it. Mmm, a real treat!

I warmly invite you to try this recipe, you will surely prepare it on other occasions, if you make it for the first time. We do it often, because we like it. This soup has a very special flavor.

And if you don't like cream soups, I recommend you to make another delicious and extremely well-known Romanian dish, a delicious belly soup, according to an old recipe, with many tricks and tips. You will definitely like that! & # 128539

I can't wait for you to come back and tell me if you liked this soup! That being said, all I can do is wish you more cooking and good appetite!

Onion is a perennial herbaceous plant in the Amaryllidaceae family. The onion plant forms a bulb of various shapes and colors. Fistulous leaves, with long tubular sheaths, form a false stem, because the true stem is metamorphosed into the bulb. The stem ends with a globular, white-green inflorescence.

Onions are a vegetable that is part of the basic diet in our country and is frequently grown both for own consumption and for trade.

Onion cultivation

Onions are grown in spring, even in March. Growing onions in the garden is done by planting chives. The land must be cleared of weeds both before planting onions and during the development period, until harvest.

Then prepare the layers in which you will pay for the chives. The rows should be 2, 3 centimeters deep and be at a distance of about 20 centimeters from each other. Cover each row carefully and water the freshly planted layers with rainwater.

Onions do not need special care, but it is good to be weeded and watered regularly, especially in dry periods.

When the onion leaves begin to dry, the watering of the layers stops, it is a sign that the harvest period is approaching. From now on, excess water will affect the vegetable and may promote the appearance of mold.

♣ Onions and rum

Put a finely chopped onion soaked with 1 glass of rum in a bowl, and leave it overnight. The next day, strain, and massage the scalp and hair with the liquid obtained. Leave on for 30-60 minutes. To this recipe you can add 1 tablespoon of castor oil to strengthen the hair and fight hair loss.
